This brace is so great without getting in my way. I bought it before diagnosis, while waiting for the hand surgeons appt. the other brace I have is good but my hand can’t breathe and it gets wet if ai am trying to wash dishes and things. This is compact and allows me to do life while having support. The doctor was happy I had found this brace as well. Turns out my wrist pain is tendontitis not TFCC. But This is still my go to brace. I do sometimes put a thin t-shirt material in between the brace and my skin because the brace can be a little scratchy.
1st got wrist widget after mountain bike accedent and injured both wrists... As a professional drummer I was devastated. Though I greatly had to alter my performing schedule the wrist widget helped so much... My physical therapist was also glad I had them as I went thru the long road to recovery. Since then they have one has lived in my 1st aid kit and one in my car... Fast forward about 8 years to yesterday and I have strained one of my wrists while playimg in the studio... I got the wrist widget back out and the support is amazing... It is a good remider to take it slow and really think about my wrist position when using my hand. I cut the cuff off a sock and waer it between my skin and the widget for comfort and to keep the strap from absorbing too much sweat. My hands and wrists are my livelihood as well integral part to my hobbies of rock climbing, painting and carpentry.
It doesn’t fix the tear but provides me enough support where I can still send hard af
Love my wrist widgets, they have saved my wrist by providing the addition support needed when doing a lot of handstand drills. They are easy to put on and take off and easy to wash.
This is my second wrist widget. I wore the first one to death And washed it in the washing machine (oops!) so needed another spanking new one. Very happy with how it helps with certain tasks. Still a long road of healing to go but happy to have this brace as part of the process.
I have been very pleased
I had a TFCC tear about 2 years ago - the WW has helped to heal & I never play tennis without it! Great product! Recommended it to my pro with same issue.
The widget did not work for me. I wish everyone else much success.
My wife has been wearing these on both of her wrists and they really help to stabilize and provide support for her TFCC injury. Every other wrist wrap or brace hurt her a lot. This is the only thing we have found that helps her. Thank you for this wonderful product
Helps a little. What I need is a miracle. Thx
This product has changed my life for the better after three years of poor sleep averaging 4 hours at a time. I already knew I would fail weight bearing test due to separate back injury that requires me to do thoracic back rotations. However, after using mechanical scales discovered injury is classed as significant between 15kg-20kg. My injury is from December 2016 and with medical intervention has been previous incorrectly diagnosed until by chance I happened to be searching the internet October 2020 for a replacement wrist splint to better manage injured wrist and discovered this product and was intrigued. Which therefore lead me to research TFCC. As I wear my wrist widget 24/7 I will be purchasing a second one to allow product to be properly washed.
The Wrist Widget saved me from having to operated on and 6 months off the courts. Great item to have as part of my tennis game.
Great product, has significantly reduced the pain I feel when I play tennis.
I have a congenital short ulna, which makes the ulnar side of my wrist weaker, and a habit of lifting or pulling heavy stuff. The Widget is the only thing I’ve found that both protects it from injury and helps it heal. And I like that it’s unobtrusive. I keep a couple of them around all the time.
I had higher expectation on material and usefulness. It didn’t help or do much.
Hi there and thank you for your honest feedback. When we read that the WristWidget wasn't helpful for you, it indicates that you have something other than a TFCC injury. This is why it is so important to do the Weight Bearing Test before purchase. It clearly defines TFCC injuries.
very easy to use and exactly what I needed
It's only been 2 weeks of me using the widget. I just receive it 2 weeks ago. So far it helps with weight bearing and when doing chores at home, cooking and cleaning and with lifting. My wrist still hurts without the widget.
I was given one of these by my Hospital after fracturing my radius bone, and after the plaster cast was removed in order to let the TFCC joint recover. Unfortunately I lost it hence buying another one. Found it aggravated the radius tendon to the thumb so had to stop wearing it for the time being. It is a good product.
It seems to be working when it stays in place, but i am constantly adjusting it because it slips out of place all the time.
